Starting and closing

Start the app​

  1. Place VRM Avatar Creator Generator-<version>-portable.exe in a writable folder.
  2. Double-click the exe.
  3. Wait for the Avatar Creator workspace and 3D preview to appear.

There is no installer. Close the app before moving the portable exe to another folder.

If Windows SmartScreen appears

Verify the source and filename first. Follow the Windows prompt only when the file came from a distributor you trust. Never run an exe whose origin you cannot verify.

Close the app​

Use the close button in the upper-right corner of the window. Unsaved customization is not restored. Select Save to download a JSON file before closing if you want to continue later.

If the app does not start​

  • Move the exe from a network drive or read-only folder to a writable local folder.
  • Check whether security software quarantined the file.
  • Update the GPU driver and Windows.
